A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise stated, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain name, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you are running a company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving spam emails, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it is extremely simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires one more click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all functionality can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in the account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small icon handily located right next to each one of them. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature using the contextual menu that will show up. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
